Favorite Support Resources?

Hello, my partner was diagnosed just under 4 months ago with MS. I just wanted to know if there are any career or support people that come on line? I'd love ideas and help on the support you give your loved ones.
Thank you

I'll start this off with a few things:

Accelerated Cure Project has some good publications listed under "Information on MS" on this page.

There's a really good online community at ThisIsMS.com.

You can call 24/7 for free in-person support from MSFriends.org at 1-866-msfriends.

I'm sure others can tell you about more resources.

You should also look for support groups in your area. They will have some good information about what doctors are good with MS, etc. You can also compare notes with symptoms, treatments, and general disease info. If you're nervous about meeting in person there are also some internet support groups, such as the ones on Yahoo groups. There are also some MS Pod-casts if you're into that.

Not a good idea to visit a support group in the beginning--it can be a really disturbing experience. There are very good interactive sites like: patientslikeme.com and msif.org.

We had a grief therapist who made house calls. It was great while it lasted.
