You've probably read the occasionaly news report of someone killed in an MRI because of a metal object left in the room. This video from GE demonstrates how strong these magnets are. Some pretty amazing demonstrations of things like monkey wrenchs smashing through bricks as it is pulled toward the machine.
Don't watch this if you've got an MRI scheduled soon. :-) And leave your monkey wrench in the car.
