I'm assuming (because of the Cheech & Chong portion) that "recreational pharmacutical" is referring to canibus. It seems odd that that could be the cause or a hinderance to MS as it seems to help some of the symptoms ???

I'm referring to all intoxicants, not just ganja. But it's really just for fun.

Even though this may be in fun, does it include alcohol and cigarettes--both which ramp up glutamate uptake levels in the brain, which has been shown to be neurotoxic.

For this one, I'd say no. We did smoking as a separate poll, but drinking might be a good one to do in the future.

My behavior in college (marijuana, LSD, tattoos) were all stressors that directly coincided with a worsening of symptoms.

i smoked a lot of pot in high school. nothing after that. wasn't diagnose with m.s. til age 43. but a lot of my friends smoked and they are fine.
